Showdek is built for original work, project updates, clips, and public proof-of-work profiles. This Copyright Policy explains how users should respect intellectual property and how copyright owners can contact Showdek about allegedly infringing content.

How to Submit a Copyright Complaint

Send copyright complaints to copyright@showdek.com. If you cannot reach that inbox, use legal@showdek.com as the fallback legal contact. Include enough detail for Showdek to locate the content and understand the claim.

Required Information for a Copyright Complaint

Copyright owner name.
Complainant name and contact email.
Description of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
URL, username, project title, clip title, screenshot, or other location of the allegedly infringing content on Showdek.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement that the information in the complaint is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.
Electronic signature, typed full name, or authorized representative name.

What Happens After a Complaint

Showdek may review the complaint and the identified content.
Showdek may remove, restrict, or disable access to the content where appropriate.
Showdek may notify the user who posted the content where appropriate.
Showdek may request more information if the complaint is incomplete.

Repeat Infringement

Repeat or serious infringement may lead to account restrictions, suspension, or termination.

Counter-Notice Process

If your content was removed or restricted because of a copyright complaint and you believe this was a mistake, contact copyright@showdek.com with your name, account email, username, the content location, an explanation, and any evidence that you own the content or are allowed to use it. Showdek may review the counter-notice and may request additional information.

Respect for Intellectual Property

Users should respect copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, and other rights. Do not upload or publish content unless you created it, own it, have permission to use it, or have another lawful basis to share it.

User Responsibility for Uploaded Content

Users are responsible for posts, projects, clips, images, videos, screenshots, logos, designs, captions, comments, links, and other content they upload or publish. Showdek may remove or restrict content that appears to violate intellectual-property rights, the Terms, or Community Guidelines.

What Copyright Protects

Copyright may protect original works such as text, photos, videos, designs, illustrations, software code, music, audio, written materials, and other creative works. Copyright generally does not protect ideas alone, facts alone, short phrases alone, or general concepts, though other rights may apply.

False Claims Warning

Do not submit false, misleading, abusive, or bad-faith copyright complaints or counter-notices. False claims can harm users and may result in account action or legal consequences.
