Agreement

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Showdek. By creating an account, accessing Showdek, or uploading content, you agree to these Terms and applicable laws.

Eligibility and Account Responsibility

You may use Showdek only if you are legally able to create an online account and comply with these Terms.
If you use Showdek for a business, school, startup, organization, or project, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
You are responsible for keeping login credentials, one-time codes, and account access secure.
You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.

User-Generated Content

Showdek allows users to create profiles, posts, projects, clips, comments, likes, follows, uploads, and other user-generated content.
You are responsible for the content you publish, upload, submit, or share.
You must have the rights, permission, or lawful basis to upload content you share.
Your content must follow these Terms, the Community Guidelines, the Copyright Policy, and applicable law.

Content Ownership and License

You keep ownership of content you create and upload. By posting or uploading content, you grant Showdek a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, adapt for technical formatting, distribute inside the service, and make the content available according to app functionality and visibility settings.

Intellectual Property Rules

Do not upload or publish content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
Do not claim another person's work, project, code, design, clip, screenshot, logo, writing, or brand asset as your own.
Showdek may remove or restrict content identified in a copyright complaint or other intellectual-property concern.
Copyright complaints may be sent to copyright@showdek.com.

Acceptable Use

Use Showdek for lawful, professional, respectful, and authentic sharing of work, projects, progress, clips, launches, achievements, and related discussions. Do not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, abuse other users, or misuse Showdek for deceptive or harmful activity.

Prohibited Conduct

Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, adult or sexual content, exploitation, graphic violence, illegal activity, or dangerous content.
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, sexualization of minors, or any conduct that exploits, abuses, or endangers children.
Spam, scams, phishing, malware, deceptive links, fake engagement, impersonation, or fraudulent behavior.
Copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or intellectual-property violations.
Posting private information about another person without permission.
Misleading project claims, fake credentials, stolen work, or false launch/proof-of-work representations.
Reverse engineering, scraping, automated abuse, security testing without authorization, or interference with Showdek systems.

Showdek Moderation Rights

Showdek may review, remove, restrict, label, reduce distribution of, or take action on content or accounts that appear to violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, Child Safety Standards, Copyright Policy, app store requirements, legal obligations, or safety standards.

Account Suspension or Termination

Showdek may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations, legal risk, security risk, fraud, spam, abuse, infringement, impersonation, or harmful behavior. Users may request deletion of their account through the Delete Account page.

Account and Data Deletion

Users may start account and data deletion directly in the app or contact the privacy email if app access is unavailable. The current in-app flow first hides and anonymizes supported app data and creates a request for trusted authentication and storage cleanup. Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backup, or abuse prevention.

Service Availability

Showdek may change, pause, remove, or discontinue features at any time. The app and website may be unavailable during maintenance, outages, review, upgrades, or events outside Showdek's control.

Disclaimers

Showdek is provided as available. Showdek does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that user content will always be available. User-generated content is created by users, not by Showdek.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Showdek is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, reputation, profits, opportunity, goodwill, or user content arising from use of the service.

Changes to Terms

Showdek may update these Terms as the app, website, features, legal requirements, or policies change. Continued use of Showdek after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
