Google Play Website Readiness Update

Updated August 10, 2026. Showdek aligned its public account-age, professional-profile, and copyright-contact wording with the implementation.

  • Published a 13-year minimum account age consistently across the Terms, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Child Safety Standards, Safety page, and Play Store information page.
  • Removed marketing language that could imply government-identity or KYC verification where no such process exists.
  • Standardised copyright complaints and counter-notices on copyright@showdek.com while retaining legal@showdek.com for general legal and child-safety matters.

Targeted Policy Wording Update

Last updated: August 10, 2026. Showdek aligned public policy wording with verified implementation details without changing the approved page design.

  • Clarified the definition of child or minor and the legally required reporting wording in the Child Safety Standards.
  • Replaced provisional privacy wording with current HTTPS, essential-cookie, third-party-service, and technology-disclosure wording supported by the inspected implementation.
  • Removed the provisional copyright-contact fallback and directed notices to the contact published at that time.
  • Clarified child-safety appeal limitations and that an appeal does not automatically restore content or account access.

  • Added desktop and mobile section navigation to longer pages.
  • Improved headings, numbered user-action steps, contact paths, and related-policy links.
  • Standardised public terminology, contact channels, and per-policy update dates.
  • The readability work was not intended to change the meaning of controlling legal clauses; sensitive legal changes remain deferred for qualified legal review.
