Delete your Showdek account.

The current Android app includes direct account deletion. The steps and two-stage cleanup behavior below are traced to the app and its deletion implementation.

Delete Your Account in the App

  1. Open Showdek and select Profile in the bottom navigation.
  2. Open the More menu in the top-right of your profile.
  3. Choose Account settings.
  4. Scroll to Delete account. You may add an optional reason.
  5. Select Delete my account, review the confirmation, and confirm Delete account.

What Happens Immediately

The current app sends an authenticated deletion request, hides and anonymizes your profile and public content, clears supported social relationships and private preferences, and signs you out. Posts and projects are removed from public view; comments are marked deleted; sent direct-message text and attachment references are cleared. This is the first stage of deletion, not a separate deactivation option, and final backend cleanup may still be in progress.

Final Account and File Cleanup

The app records a deletion request for a trusted backend process to finish deleting the authentication account and stored files, including stored media. Showdek does not currently publish a fixed completion time for this stage.

Data That May Remain During Processing

  • The deletion-request record remains so trusted operators can complete and audit the request.
  • Deleted comments remain as deleted records rather than live comment text.
  • Data outside Showdek control, such as copies another person exported or stored, cannot be removed by the app.
  • Any additional legal, security, abuse-prevention, or backup retention must follow the Privacy Policy and applicable requirements; the client source does not define a blanket retention period.

If You Cannot Access the App

Email privacy@showdek.com from your registered address and include your Showdek username. The form below opens your email application; it does not send data to a website database. Never send a password, one-time code, or access token.
