Minimum Age

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Showdek account. Additional age requirements may apply depending on your country or applicable law.

Showdek is not intended for children below the minimum age required to create an account.

Report Content or a User

Use the Report action on the relevant profile or user-generated content inside Showdek. Choose the closest reason and add concise context that helps identify the concern. For urgent danger, contact local emergency services first.

Block Unwanted Contact

Use the block control available from a user's profile or relevant interaction menu to stop unwanted contact across supported Showdek surfaces.

Safety in Connect

Connect is the app's home for Chats, Requests, Collaborations, and Projects. The same community and child-safety standards apply to conversations, connection requests, attachments, and project rooms.

  • Open Connect, then Requests, to review incoming requests. Use Accept or Decline where shown; you do not have to continue an unwanted conversation.
  • Open Connect, select Chats, and open the conversation. Use the conversation menu to Report profile or Block builder. Press and hold a message and choose Report message to report that message.
  • Open Connect, select Projects, and open the project room. Press and hold the relevant message and choose Report message to report concerns in shared workspaces.
  • Manage Allow Connect requests from Profile, More, Privacy settings. Use blocking for unwanted contact in existing interactions.
  • Check the person, project, links, and files before sharing sensitive information. A connection purpose or stored source label describes context and does not verify a person's identity or a job offer. Never share passwords or one-time codes.
